The reason we want you NOT to use Q codes is that you don't know what you are saying and it is usually redundant.
example: "I am at my work QTH" When you translate it properly you are saying, "I am at my work my position is." Sounds like Yota doesn't it?
Q codes were designed back in CW mode days only when it was much easier to use 3 letters instead of many.
example: "What is your position?" (19 CW characters) or "QTH?" ( 4 CW characters )
